AMD may equip faster GDDR6 memory chips on its high-end Radeon RX 7900 series graphics cards based on Navi 31 “RDNA 3” GPUs.
AMD Radeon RX 7900 graphics cards are claimed to be high-quality 3 “Navi 31” with 20 Gbps of memory
The latest rumors come from Grimon 55 It is reported that Red Team’s fastest RDNA 3 GPUs based on the Navi 31 SKU will use faster GDDR6 memory. AMD RDNA 2 Navi GPUs come with memory speeds of up to 18 Gbps. 18 Gbps memory was added to the latest RDNA 2 update while the initial configuration used 16 Gbps.
Since the 7000XT will use 20Gbps, I think the 7x50XT will still be 24Gbps + frequency upgrade mode.

It is reported that the Radeon RX 7900 series, which will cover the advanced chip with its powerful Navi 31 GPU based on MCM, will provide memory speeds of up to 20 Gbps. This is an 11% increase compared to the fastest memory solution out there for AMD Radeon RX 6000 cards.
Given that the main AMD Radeon RX 7900 series comes with a 384-bit bus interface, we will get a bandwidth solution of 960 GB/s as well as the bandwidth of the Infinity Cache which is expected to increase to 384 MB (192 MB standard + 192 MB) 3D V-Cache in six MCDs). Recent speculation has shown that with the new MCD Infinity Cache architecture, the Radeon RX 7900 series can deliver a theoretical bandwidth of up to 7 TB/s which would be a massive increase against the 1.79 TB/s bandwidth currently available on the RX 6950 XT graphics card.
There is an upgrade for the 7000 series. But it’s relatively late and I personally think that upgrading to 24Gbps is very likely.

I think early 2024 is most likely.

But that’s not all, the leaker also says that the RDNA 3 update may have 24Gbps of high-end memory. This will result in the same GDDR6 bandwidth as NVIDIA’s flagship GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card. Even the RTX 4090 Ti is expected to use 24 Gbps die-off although we’ll see if that plan changes in the future. As for the update planning, it is expected to be at the end of 2023 or early 2024, so we have more than a year to go and launch the initial AMD RDNA 3 family before we talk about the update. Memory will be equipped with all updated models.
