Looks like Brock Lesnar has left the building.
Multiple reports indicate that Lesnar has pulled out of WWE Smackdown following the news that Vince McMahon will be retiring as CEO and Chairman of the company.
After reaching out to The Post, a WWE spokesperson declined to comment on the reports.
In response to Alvarez, Saraya-Jade Bevis, who presented in WWE as Paige and recently left the company, chirp“If that’s true, Michael Cole would do well to bring it up when commenting saying he’s given up on the WWE Universe.”
This was a reference to when Sasha Banks and Naomi had creative differences with WWE and pulled out – and that’s how the telecast took it.
McMahon retired from WWE after 40 years running the company, after the board of directors was investigating $12 million in “silence money” payments to four different ex-employees with whom he had sexual relations.
For Lesnar, the surrealism of WWE means you can’t rule out this being a story. Or it might be Lesnar, a notorious hard-line negotiator, feeling an opportunity in which he has influence. Lesnar is set to wrestle Roman Reigns at SummerSlam, the company’s second biggest event of the year after WrestleMania, next weekend.
